Amit Dhingra, MD joined Sunrise Medical Center in 2011.  He attended medical school at the Armed Forced Medical College in India. Residency in Internal Medicine was completed at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania in conjunction with Syracuse University.  A Fellowship in Critical Care followed at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  While in St. Louis, Dr. Dhingra was employed as a hospitalist with Christian Hospital NE in St. Louis.  Dr. Dhingra continued his education with a Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He is board certified in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.

He is married with one daughter and enjoys sports, traveling and reading.
